Cosmetic Smile Design

Smile makeovers designed to AACD cosmetic standards — veneers and anterior units where the result has to look like the patient, only rested.

What a cosmetic case includes

Cosmetic work is won before the porcelain is fired. The stages below are what keep the surprise out of the seat appointment.

  • Diagnostic wax-up for veneers or crowns
  • Matrix for temporaries, so the provisionals carry the design
  • Layered lithium disilicate veneers and anterior units
  • Custom shade matching with the patient in the lab, by appointment

Photographs change the result

For an anterior case, photographs tell us more than a shade tab ever will — the value, the translucency at the incisal edge, the character of the neighbouring teeth. Attach them to the online prescription and they arrive with the case. Nothing is stored on the website; they come straight to the lab inbox.

Questions we get asked

How does custom shade matching work?

The patient comes to the lab in Katy and Mr. Ortiz takes the shade at the bench, under the right light, with the ceramics in front of him. Send the patient phone number on the prescription and we will book it.

Can you do a trial smile before we prepare?

Yes. Order the diagnostic wax-up and the matrix, and the patient sees the plan in their own mouth first.

How many veneers can you do at once?

Full anterior cases are routine here. Call the lab with the case and we will schedule it properly.
