The Woodlands is the far side of the metro from Katy, so cases travel by courier or carrier rather than on our own vehicle. The laboratory work is identical; what changes is a day at each end, and we plan around it openly.
Getting cases between The Woodlands and the bench
We are not going to tell you we run a daily Woodlands route when we do not. What we do is schedule around the distance: you tell us the seat date when the case is sent, and we work backwards from it including transit, so the date you promised the patient is the date that holds. For a large case where shipping is awkward, call the lab and we will work something out.
The turnaround you can promise a The Woodlands patient
Build in a day each way on top of the laboratory time. For a single unit that means roughly a week door to door. The honest version is that distance costs you two days, not quality.
Distance should not mean a call centre
This matters more when the case is travelling than when it is not. If something is wrong with a The Woodlands case you cannot walk it back over, so being able to reach the ceramist directly is worth more, not less. Ask for Mr. Ortiz, a CDT with 38 years at the bench.

Do you pick up in The Woodlands?
No. The Woodlands sits at the top of the metro, up I-45 and well past Tomball, which is as far north as the van goes. Those cases travel by courier. We say so rather than listing the city and hoping, because a pick-up we cannot actually make costs you a seat date.
Which practices near The Woodlands do you already work with?
We do not publish client lists. Call the laboratory and ask what we can do for an office in Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North and Conroe — you will get a straight answer rather than a sales pitch.
Can a The Woodlands patient come to the lab for a custom shade?
Yes, and there is no charge — but be realistic about the drive. The Woodlands to Katy is most of the way across the metro. On an anterior case where the shade is the whole job it can still be worth asking the patient. For a posterior crown, send photographs with the tab held against the tooth instead.
