Premium Ceramics
Layered, all-ceramic restorations built for strength where the mouth needs it and for light where the eye reads it. Every case is finished by hand by a registered CDT, not pressed out of a mill and shipped.
What we build
We work in the materials that survive a real bite and still disappear next to the natural dentition.
- Lithium disilicate — layered or monolithic, for anteriors that have to vanish
- High translucent zirconia for posteriors that have to last
- Translucent zirconia where strength and esthetics have to meet in the middle
- Layered anterior units, veneers and anterior bridges
- PMMA provisionals and long-term temporaries
Why layering still matters
A monolithic crown is one shade of one material. A layered restoration is built in depth, the way enamel sits over dentin, so it picks up the light from inside instead of reflecting it off the surface. On an anterior unit next to a natural tooth, that is the difference between a crown nobody notices and a crown everybody notices. We will tell you honestly which of the two a case calls for.
Shade matching
Standard shades are taken from the prescription. For difficult anteriors we offer custom shade matching with the patient in the lab, by appointment — send the patient phone number with the case and we will arrange it. Case photos help on every case: attach them to the online prescription and they come straight to us.
Questions we get asked
Do you take digital scans for ceramic cases?
Yes. We accept iTero, 3Shape and any third-party STL file, as well as conventional impressions. Send the file and we will confirm receipt.
Can you match a single central next to a natural tooth?
That is the hardest case in the book, and it is what custom shade matching exists for. Book the patient in the lab and Mr. Ortiz will take the shade himself.
Lithium disilicate or zirconia?
Lithium disilicate for esthetics in the anterior, zirconia where the load is high or the clearance is thin. Call the lab with the case and we will give you a straight answer.
